As the founder of The Hustle Lab, I’m thrilled to reflect on the incredible projects and partnerships we’ve brought to life in 2024. From empowering local businesses to creating unforgettable events, last year was nothing short of transformative. Here's a look at what we accomplished:
January: Dream Catchers Mastermind
We kicked off the year by partnering with Algernon Hall, an educational consultant and founder of Jubilee Children’s Entertainment and Dream Catchers Program, to coordinate a webinar designed to empower educational leaders to develop their own educational programs, consultancies, and businesses. The event featured a panel discussion and a live Q&A session. Beyond the event, we helped Algernon launch a sales-enabled website, run targeted social media ads, and create branded social media templates.
February: Black Love Brunch
In collaboration with Tha Block Trenton, we helped plan and promote a special brunch in Trenton, NJ, to raise funds and awareness for the organization's rental assistance program.
March: Thunder Games Celebrity Basketball Game
We played a key role in coordinating last year's inaugural sold-out, history-making sports-entertainment event in Hamilton, NJ. Our contributions included offering event coordination assistance, designing the event step-and-repeat, retractable banners, and run-of-show documentation, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
March: Hennessy x 76ers x MGP
I was honored to be one of 25 participants hand-selected to work on a groundbreaking marketing partnership between Hennessy and the Philadelphia 76ers. We developed a 360-degree marketing campaign for this game-changing initiative.
May: Keynote Speech at The Pennington School
Returning to my alma mater, I delivered the keynote speech at The Pennington School’s Black Community Connections Luncheon. Speaking to graduating seniors, I explored the true meaning of Black excellence — rooted in community, culture, and authenticity. The speech received a standing ovation and left smiles all around.
June: Inspiring Young Minds at Joyce Kilmer Intermediate School
In June, I had the privilege of working with Joyce Kilmer Intermediate School in Trenton, NJ, to teach 40 enthusiastic 5th graders about digital careers and entrepreneurship. Over the course of the program, these young visionaries developed digital stewardship skills, mapped out career paths, and created their very own business plans.
Beyond the lessons, I had the opportunity to build meaningful connections with each student, witnessing their creativity, ambition, and excitement for the future. This experience was a true testament to the power of education and mentorship in shaping the next generation of leaders and innovators.
June: Trenton Pop-Up Market Returns
We planned, coordinated, and promoted the second season of the Trenton Pop-Up Market in the Old Trenton Neighborhood (OTN). Featuring live entertainment and local vendors, this initiative revitalized underutilized commercial spaces. Our team handled everything from event signage and flyers to billboards, social media pages, and a dedicated event website.
August: Black Vanity Culture Fest
This two-day cultural festival was a perfect opportunity to merge the brilliance of my two brands, Black Vanity and The Hustle Lab. Held in Trenton, NJ, the event celebrated Black creativity, artistic expression as a form of healing, and the 6th anniversary of Black Vanity. Highlights included musical performances by Brotha Ash, Ny Santanna, and Jai Money, a fashion show by Creative Worldwide, and an exclusive brunch for collaborators. We executed a comprehensive 360-degree marketing campaign to bring this vision to life.
October: CREWU Homecoming - Fall/Winter Collection Release Show & Shop
We partnered with Creative Worldwide to curate an event that embodied the passion behind its “CREW University” collection. This collection challenged the traditional education system and celebrated life as the ultimate teacher. Our work included creating event signage, social media flyers, email promotions, and more.
November: Pop’N Up With CREW: Black Friday Pop-Up Shop Experience
In partnership with Capital City Smoke & Vape Shop and Creative Worldwide, we hosted a one-of-a-kind Black Friday shopping experience. This event encouraged the community to support Black-owned businesses during the biggest shopping day of the year. We handled event signage, email promotions, and more to ensure its success.
From impactful events to powerful partnerships, 2024 has been a year of hustle, heart, and growth. Thank you to everyone who supported and collaborated with The Hustle Lab along the way. Here’s to even greater achievements in 2025!
